At this address the Bartels family lived during the Second World War. Daughter Edith was gassed at Auschwitz on 6 October 1944. On 12 October 2012 a so-called ‘Stolperstein’ (‘stumbling stone’), a special commemoration tile, was placed here in the presence of Edith Bartels’ younger sister Claire.
